ORN: 3.5 miles in 37:14. Not bad considering how bad I felt. I should say my lower legs felt bad. My knees started grumbling and whining near the halfway point and did not stop.
I did try running along the Louisville RiverWalk. That was nice. It brought back pleasant memories of the Louisville Half Marathon. The track is well-maintained and has some small rolls to keep it from being completely flat. If one ignored the rail yards and abandoned factories on one side and the brown, debris-choked Ohio on the right, one might forget one is in the city. The trail runs right along the river bank, so I imagine this will not be a route available to me during the monsoon seasons. Still, it beats the hell out of running on downtown sidewalks, dodging traffic, and stopping at every block to cross the street.
Tomorrow is a much needed rest day. I think my legs are starting to think I am serious about this running thing, and they are starting to protest a little. I plan to do three on Friday and a 10K on Saturday, gods and my lazy ass willing.
