I can't complain about today's run. It felt pretty good to get out there, even though it is a chilly 32° out there. The sun is out and the wind is calm. With my all-black running ensemble, I was quite comfortable. I had tights on my legs and two layers on top. My inner layer was a short sleeve technical shirt [all the long sleeved ones are in the wash]. Outside, I wore my Louisville Half Marathon technical... sweatshirt? I don't know what else to call it. A shell? It's like a sweater that wicks. My earbuds were safely ensconced in ear warmers, and my hands were warmed with some generic knit gloves. In short, I had nearly the perfect outfit on for today's weather.

That's a sweet spot to find. Last winter, I experimented. Better than half the time, I wore too much. Rarely, I wore too little, but that was much worse so that lesson was quickly learned. By the time the frosts stopped, I had the winter running apparel thing down cold. This year, I am rocking.
