Lost without Lost

ORN: 4.74 miles in a whopping 50:02. I'm still gobsmacked by how much better my lower extremities feel with these new Brooks. I ran in the rain, which sucked, but the temperature was just right.

There's a hole in my soul where Lost used to be. As I've mentioned before, I am a huge fan of the bizarre TV show about who-the-hell-knows. Thanks to the writers' strike -- nothing against them or the strike -- they're on hiatus for a few weeks while the remaining post-strike episodes of season four are filmed and polished.

I've been pleasantly surprised about how forthcoming they've been with The Answers this season. With a couple shitty exceptions, each episode has addressed one or more mysteries from earlier seasons, of which there are plenty. Most of the time, they are being cool about their reveals too. They aren't playing them up too much, nor are they tossing them in so casually that one misses them. They're just straight with them. "Oh yeah, Michael is my spy on the boat." Boom. The imminent end of the show -- in about forty more episodes anyway -- must be prodding them along. That's good.

It's been annoying up to now with the whole "answer one thing, reveal 10 more mysteries" thing from the first three seasons.

I don't know what I am going to do with myself tonight. I drank ale and ate White Castles last night. Tonight, I ought to do something responsible and grown up. Nah.

  1. I'm sitting here catching up on my feeds, waiting for hubby to finish putting the oldest to bed so we can watch LOST together when BOOM! - I come across this post. Does this mean I actually have to talk to my hubby tonight?
