TGIF

ORN: I ran 3.0 miles in 30'33", which is my best time this week. My legs were tired and a little sore from the cross training I've done in addition to the running. Still, I am pleased with my run today. It was cloudy and a little cool, a pleasant fall day for running. I ran under a train that was crossing the 14th St. Bridge. I also saw a paddle-wheel steamboat and a barge queuing up for the McAlpine Locks.

I am so ready for the weekend that I could just puke. See if I don't.

This weekend, I will be a raking fool. Our three water maples, one red bud, and one dogwood have all dropped their leaves. Also our neighbors to the left and to the rear each have water maples, and they have dropped their leaves into our yard as well. Hell yes, I am counting leaf raking as cross training.

Our Thanksgiving plans are all lined up. After we do whatever we are going to do Thursday, my race + gorging ourselves silly at our house, we are skipping town! We are headed north to Indianapolis, where we will stay two nights and enjoy the Indy Zoo and their children's museum. If this turns out to be as awesome as we expect, our new family tradition might be to skip town every holiday.
