ORN: 6.45 km in 42:06, and I felt like it was hot as heck even though it was barely 70. I'm puny.
I sent a message to both Nike and Apple complaining about a low battery message I have been getting lately in Nike+.
I have about as much faith in this happening as I have of Bill Gates saying "You know, Windows does kind of suck, doesn't it?" We shall see.

I sent a message to both Nike and Apple complaining about a low battery message I have been getting lately in Nike+.
I bought my Nikeplus sports kit in April of this year [2007], and since then I logged 24 runs and about 140 kilometers with it. However, recently I have noticed that the sensor is reporting a low battery, and today my iPod started giving the warning screen saying that the battery is low. This is unacceptable. The product's advertising boasts much more battery life than the paltry 15.5 hours my unit reports. I am accustomed to a much higher standard of quality than this from both Nike and Apple. In my mind this is obviously the result of some manufacturing defect. Please send me information on how to get a replacement sensor. The article essentially says to "Buy a new one, sucker" but I do not regard that as satisfactory. I hope you would reward a loyal and usually happy customer of Nike and Apple products with information on how to get a free replacement sensor.

Thanks for the link, Mike+. My problem is that I don't have an Apple Store nearby. I called Apple's customer service, and the nice bloke on the other end said the same things mentioned in the thread: get it replaced at an Apple Store or return it to Apple. I don't want to have to mail it off and wait for a replacement, so I left a message with the management of the running store where I bought the Kit. We'll see what happens.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, it didn't give me the low battery warning. I don't know what that's about.
