Rain

ORN: Ran a double today. (2.25 miles in 26:47) + (0.92 in 10:05)

Here I am, on my day off, having completed my run for the day, eating my sensible breakfast. It rained sporadically, which accounts for my double. I started off, after dropping off my kid at preschool, with the intention of running at the JCC. But as I was driving around, I noticed it wasn't raining. So I changed course and chose to run through the 'hood. Bad idea. Very shortly into the jog, it started raining on me. It had been misting, but this was full-fledged rain. As I am paranoid about my iPod getting wet, I hot-footed it back home.

Then I jumped into the car and drove to the JCC after all [as Al Gore wept somewhere], and finished up. Now I am ravenous. I gobbled down a couple eggs, a small, very lean piece of pork chop, and some oatmeal. Not healthy, perhaps, but all part of the weight watchers core.
