Cross training

I haven't run this weekend for a host of reasons. Chief among them is that it has been raining off and on all weekend, and I don't like getting rained on if I can help it. That's one reason why I live in a house, too. To make up for it slightly I did 20 minutes of DDR yesterday and 30 minutes tonight. I worked up a sweat both times, so I'm counting it even if it is nerdy in the extreme.

The Ken Combs Running Store training group for the Derby Marathon had its first organizational meeting today. 'Twas Tracy and I. She's the organizer, and I volunteered myself to be a captain for the sluggards/penguins. Our first run together will be January 5th, but unfortunately, I will be out of town on business. We'll meet weekly thereafter until the Derby Marathon.

Tomorrow, I may shoot for four miles. It's supposed to rain. :(
