STFU, Ed

ORN: 5.64 miles in 1:00:02. The day was nice (69°) but overcast. Workers are abuzz along the waterfront setting everything up for Thunder Over Louisville, which is on Saturday. As for my run, it was OK. Let's just say that I'm very glad next week begins my taper before the Derby Half Marathon.

dog dog dogYesterday, some attentive readers saw that I had written a wee rant on the subject of China and the Olympic Torch protests. A couple of you tried to comment on that post only to discover that I deleted it shortly after publication. Sorry. I deleted it because I decided this space wasn't intended to be my political soapbox. This is a runner's blog, and I want to keep it as focused as possible. The post I envisioned was intended to focus on the Olympics [arguably on-topic], but as I wrote it, it turned into more of an anti-China bash.

I used to have a personal blog, but I don't think I am going to do that again. The personal blogosphere is a crowded space. Some writers, to be fair, do it very well and profit from it, and more power to them.
