ORN: I ran 4 miles on the YMCA's treadmill today in a whopping 45'06. I swear, it was the worst workout I have had in recent memory. I set it for random hills, and it whipped my ass. It was hot; I was gushing sweat; my lungs heaved. The last half was just jogs broken up by occasional walk breaks. All I can say good about it are the following: I stuck it out for four miles, and I did a vigorous hill workout.
Tomorrow, I plan to do intervals.
Hills would do that to me. The mill would do that to me. Together is a disaster!
ReplyDeleteThere is never any decent air conditioning in gyms, that is one of the things that make treadmill runs sub-optimal.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, as it made me feel better about my ridiculously HORRIBLE run yesterday. I did a crappy 3.1 miles and it was a pathetic effort. I'm glad it wasn't just me. And I wasn't even on a TM!
