Cruising through the 'hood

ORN: 7K in 45:57.

Yesterday, I ran the same route I ran Tuesday, except this time I didn't get lost and didn't run into a train, and I had a much better experience. It was still hard because 7 km is longer than my average run used to be, and as I have mentioned before, the heat kills me. But the rain had cooled off things a tad, and there was a nice breeze. Since the skies threatened to drop more rain, I wrapped my nano in plastic and clipped it to my waist and ran in silence.

Birds chirped, children laughed, my lungs heaved, my feet stomped, car engines revved, and the world turned. It was nice. I don't want to stop listening to music when I run, but yesterday I learned that sometimes it is nice to listen to the music of the neighborhood.
